1200 Enjoys Free NHIS Registration

About 1,200 in the Denkyembour District people have benefitted from free registration unto the National Health Insurance Scheme.

Some others who are already registered with the NHIS but had their renewal date expired had the opportunity to renew their registration for free.

The gesture is by kind courtesy Okoyo Foundation, a non governmental organisation belonging to Mr. Henry Boakye Yiadom, a former constituency vice chairman of the opposition NDC in the Akwatia Constituency.

The foundation also presented a brand new air condition and a 32 LED TV set to the National Health Insurance office at Akwatia in the Denkyembour District.

Speaking to the Evening Mail, Mr. Henry Boakye Yiadom, CEO of Okoyo Foundation said the gesture was part of the foundation’s objectives of improving education and health care in the Denkyembour District.

Mr. Boakye-Yiadom called on all well meaning Ghanaians and the general public who can afford to also join hands in helping the needy.

The items donated to the office were  received by the District NHIS MIS officer Mr. Asiedu Isaac Asante.
He expressed his gratitude to the foundation for the support and called on benevolent people to come to their aid to help improve health care in the district.
