The Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency, Mr. Alexander Afenyo Markins, yesterday 4th February, 2019, continued with the fulfilment of his developmental initiatives for the Effutu Constituency by cutting sod for some developmental projects and donating some items to support education in the constituency.
The MP began the day with a Sod cutting for a community centre and a Bio technology toilet at Ekroful a suburb of Winneba.
From Ekroful, the MP went to NVTI/German Volunteers institute where he cut sod for an ICT center and two pavilions to help in the infrastructure needs of the school and donated a lap top each to all the teachers in the school. He further affirmed his commitment to providing a bus for the School to aid the students in the area of transportation.
The University Practice schools at both the North and South campuses of the University of Education were his next points of call where he donated 150 and 140 pieces of desk respectively to augment furniture challenges in both schools. A sod was also cut for the construction of a school library and an administration block at the University Practice North Campus.
The Effutu legislator ended the day’s activity at the Adansi Park where he distributed to the fish mongers bundles of wire mesh each to help them in their fish smoking business. In all, a total of 360 wire mesh were distributed by him as part of his entrepreneurship development program for Efftutu.
Mr. Afenyo-Markins promised to extend his Entrepreneurship support program to benefit the people of the constituency.
He challenge the pupils in the constituency to learn hard so they could also benefit from the government’s FREE SHS policy in order to also become useful citizens of the country.
The supports according to the MP are to help fast track the developmental agenda of the Effutu Constituency.
He stated that he is committed to making sure Effutu becomes one of the fastest growing constituencies in the country.
