AAA Foundation, a non-governmental organization and Akyem Oda Community Hospital have together handed over a toilet facility worth GHC65000 to Akyem Aboabo, a community in the Birim Central Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The donation which happened over the weekend is the most recent of similar donations made to some communities in the same Municipality by the two organisations.
Last year, the two organisations made a similar donation to the Akyem Oda Old Town Community.
The toilet facilities are deliberately built around durbar/funeral grounds to serve people who gather at such places for public events and programs.
Handing over the facility, Mr. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, Executive President of the foundation and CEO of the Community Group of Hospitals called on the people to ‘treat the facility well.’
He said the management of the Akyem Oda Community hospital and the foundation decided to give back to the society for the support and good will they have enjoyed from the people as part of the hospital’s cooperate social responsibility.
He spoke about the high patronage of the hospital by the people of Akyem Aboabo which informed the decision to build the facility for them.
He called on the people of Aboabo to continue to support him for more of such projects.
