Mick Jagger had successful heart surgery in New York and could be released within the next couple of days, according to a report on Thursday.
Sources told Billboard the 75-year-old Rolling Stones frontman is recovering and in great health following the heart valve procedure, where doctors put in a stent to prop up at least one of his arteries.
The dad of eight must rest for four to five days so the artery can heal without any severe bleeding issues. Then, he’ll need some more recovery time before getting back on stage.
The surgery follows the band’s announcement last week that it was pausing the US leg of its No Filter tour, which had been set to kick off in a couple weeks.
