Mr. Davies Opoku Ansah, Director of Operations for pro-government pressure group, Alliance for Accountable Governance and Chief Executive officer for Siri Communications, has stated that Ghana will be in a total mess if the president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo does not win the 2020 general elections.

According to OPK as the AFAG Director of Operations is affectionately called, the many successes chalked under this government which is making Ghana gain positive light in the international communities cannot be allowed to be eroded by the opposition National Democratic Congress. He said that many of the positive projects and programmes currently ongoing are brainchildren of Akufo-Addo adding that he should be allowed to nurture them for at least two terms before leaving office. “No one can take care of your children as better as you will. Free SHS, NABCO, 1d1F etc can never be nurtured better by any other person than Nana Akufo-Addo.” He said.

No contest

Mr. Ansah pleaded with all members of the NPP to allow the president to steer the affairs of the country into a second term without any disturbance of a contest. He stated that anybody who will be thinking of contesting Nana Addo in the NPP ahead of the 2020 will be behaving ‘childishly”. “If I have my way, I would have even suggested that aside from the NPP, there shouldn’t even be presidential elections in 2020 at all so that the president can continue with the good works he is doing till 2024. The Achievement of Akufo-Addo should be allowed to flourish without any disturbance of an election.” He stated.
