I will increase Mahama votes and reclaim Madina seat -Lawyer Sosu vows

Human Rights Lawyer, Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu has vowed to reclaim the Madina seat for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) come 2020.

Lawyer Sosu made the vow on 18th July, 2019, after filing his nomination forms to contest the 24th August, 2019 parliamentary primaries at the Madina constituency office of the largest opposition party the NDC.

Last week, the Concerned Madina NDC Women residing in and around the Constituency purchased the nomination forms for him.

According to the leader of the group, Hajia Maria, they are of the view that, Lawyer Sosu is the only candidate who can wrestle the seat in lost to the NPP’s Boniface Abubakari Sadique.

After filing his nomination, the Human Right Lawyer who sounded optimistic, described himself as the best candidate to win the Madina seat and increase the votes of the flagbearer of the NDC in 2020.

“I’m the most marketed candidate in the contest and I’m sure I’m going to win to ensure that, I increase President John Mahama votes in the Madina Constituency. People who are not even NDC members, floating votes and some NPP supporters are all saying if it is me Lawyer Sosu they will vote for me. So is clear that our votes will increase especially that of President Mahama come 2020 elections.”

Lawyer Sosu who expressed dissatisfaction with the current pace of development of the constituency, promised to establish a skill development center as part of his efforts to create employment in Madina.

He also pledged to construct a befitting constituency office in Madina for the National Democratic Congress.

Francis Xavier- Sosu made the remarks after the Director of Elections at the Madina Constituency Togbe Wisdom received, inspected and okayed the nomination forms of the Human Right Lawyer.
