Akufo-Addo is a ‘Covenant Keeping President’-NPP Youth Wing Declares

The Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party has stated that the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has proven that he is a “covenant keeping President”.
According to the Youth Wing, the many youth tailored policies and programs implemented by the government are symbolic that unlike the previous John Mahama government, the Akufo-Addo government came to save the country.
Speaking at the maiden edition of the party’s “The Youth Must Know Series” at Koforidua yesterday Monday 22nd July, 2019, the National Youth Organiser of the Party, Henry Nana Boakye stated that policies such as NABCO, Free SHS, NEIP among others are feats that no government has ever attained within its first two years in power.
The Youth Must Know Series
The Youth Must Know series is a program instituted by the NPP’s youth wing to tell the youth of the country about the sterling performance of the government.
The Series according to the party’s National Youth Organiser will be held across all constituencies and regions in the country to “set the record straight” on the achievements of the party in government.
Outlining some specific Youth tailored achievements of the government, Nana B as the party’s Youth Organiser is affectionately called said under the Free SHS policy, not only have parents been relieved from the burden of school fees leading to the relief of students but the policy has also led to the creation of 45,000 jobs for the youth.
Mr. Boakye stated that, within the two years of the Akufo-Addo  government, a whooping Ghc42million has been paid for the registration of BECE Candidates in the country.
He added that so far 11,500 Youth have been employed in the Youth in Agric program with an estimated 33,000 projected to be employed this year.
Mr. Boakye added that while the Mahama government supported just 69 people under the Youth Entrepreneurship Support Program within 8yrs, the NPP has supported 1350 young people  under the redefined program into the  National Entrepreneurship Innovative Program headed by John Kumah with a minimum support of GHC10,000 and maximum support of GHC100,000 each.
He added that restoration of Trainees allowances, payment of arrears owned by th scholarship secretariat, increase in the capitation grant by over 100% from Ghc4.5 to Ghc10 are all achievements of the government that need to be espoused loudly to the hearing of the youth.
