Three persons are reported dead in a fatal accident at Teacher Mante in the Ayensuano district of the Eastern Region.
The accident, which occurred earlier this morning, involves a kia Gran bird bus with registration number Gt 5425-20 heading from Kumasi to Aflao and a trailer vehicle with registration no AE-1913-12 coming from the opposite direction of the road.
The three person’s were said to have died on the spot from the Kia Gran Bird.
The injured person’s have since been taken to the Suhum and Nsawam government hospitals respectively.
Confirmation
The Coaltar District Police Commander, ASP Francis Kodwo Nartey, said the accident occurred around 1:45am. He confirmed that three persons died on the spot while some 25 persons who sustained various degrees of injuries have been taken to the hospitals.
He added that the police is yet to unravel the cause of the incident.
