The secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFCTA) His Excellency Wamkele Mene and his Entourage has touched down in the Ivorian Capital of Abidjan For a 4-day working Visit.
The visit which is an invitation from His Excellency Alassane Ouattara – President of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, is the Secretary-General’s first official visit to that country.
The visit will officially begin on 26 – 30 July 2021 and will primarily take place in Abidjan the commercial capital of the country.
Consultations are planned with the following:
President of Cote d’Ivoire;
President of the African Development Bank (AfDB);
Minister of Foreign Affairs;
Minister of Trade and Industry
Federation of West Africa Employers Association (FOPAO); and the
Organised Private Sector
SG Wamkele Mene was accompanied by officials of the AfCFTA Secretariat including Senior Advisor to the Secretary General, Peter Joy Sewornoo and Senior Advisor – Customs Demitta Gyang
