As you mark the end of a successful Ramadan, I join you, my Muslim brothers and sisters, home and abroad, to celebrate Allah’s graciousness towards us individually and collectively as a people.
Eid Mubarak goes to all of you, with special felicitations to the National Chief Immam, Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu; and their Excellencies the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the Second Lady, Hajia Samira Bawumia.
Instituted by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in Medina, the significance of this occasion should be the realisation of the spiritual renewal of our being, having walked closely with Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) in fasting, Qur’an recitations, prayers, and self-denial. This understanding enjoins us to strengthen the bond with our neighbours and maintain peace among humanity.
May this occasion continue to enhance religious harmony and tolerance in Ghana.
