The Women’s Wing of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed its appreciation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the payment of three months arrears of allowances to nursing trainees in the country.
In a social media post, Deputy National Women Organiser, Mimi Duah, stated that the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) of the NPP, Women Commissioners (WOCOMs) and students nurses express their gratitude for the payment.
The party also expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance for their role in ensuring the payment.
“Nursing students across the country have sent in their messages, videos and audio demonstrating how happy they are since yesterday. I can’t hide their joy but use this medium to convey their story to the President and the leadership of NPP,” the statement said.
