Honorable Kwabena Abankwa-Yeboah has applauded the President’s nominees for
appointment or confirmation as MMDCEs. In a message to congratulate them, he stressed that all of them deserved the enviable positions to which they have been nominated.

He prayed that every one of the nominees would receive massive endorsement from the Assembly Members to satisfy the legal requirement for the appointment as Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives.

He further intimated that it is an honor, for the President of the Republic of Ghana to nominate them to serve their people and the country and this should not be taken for granted. It is rather a
call to serve and not to be served. He again prayed that the nominees when approved should put the interest of Ghana first in their line of duties so as to raise the flag of Ghana high and better the living conditions of Ghanaians.

Honorable Abankwa-Yeboah said that the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has confidence in the nominees and believes that you will never disappoint him. This is the reason why we the Patriots also support you to succeed as Chief Executives of your respective Assemblies.

He had a word of advice to those who were not nominated. To those majority, he told them that it did not mean they were not good enough and went ahead to congratulate them as well. “I really respect your determinations, you have fought a good fight and you have earned my respect, never give up, and tomorrow shall be your turn”. He stressed.

He finally admonished all and sundry to be united and rally behind our newly nominated and yet to be appointed MMDCEs. We call for calm among party foot soldiers. This is the time the
President needs your support the most, and that there should be calm, understanding, love, and togetherness so that we can build the country once again.

The Honorable Abankwa-Yeboah the NPP National Chairman hopeful said to all the nominees that “The task is enormous and needs concerted efforts from all to ensure effective progress and development.
It is a charge to be kept by all the nominees and we dare not fail our country”.
