Staff of Zoomlion ready to disinfect the sports college

The management of the National Sports College (NSC) in Winneba, Central Region, has set up an isolation centre at the college as part of measures to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the acting Director of the college, Noah Bukari, the isolation centre was set up to manage any person suspected to have contracted the virus.

“Any suspected case of Covid-19 will be sent to the pavilion and the summer huts in the college, which are going to be used as isolation centres to manage the situation,” he disclosed.

He explained that the set-up will be a stopgap measure to control the virus from spreading on the campus of the college, should there be a confirmed case there.

In addition to the isolation centre, the college has also procured veronica buckets, alcohol-based hand sanitisers and loads of nose masks, to be given to the students when they return to school.

“All of the above, together with the practice of social distancing, will help protect the students and the staff against the Covid-19,” said Mr Bukari.

Mr Bukari disclosed this when the Zoomlion Ghana Limited went to disinfect the college on Friday.

He lauded Zoomlion and the Ministry of Education for the initiative to disinfect all schools in the country.
