Mackay Kumah

The 2020 NPP parliamentary candidate for the Sene West constituency, Joseph Mackay Kumah, has charged members and supporters of the party in the area to remain resolute and stay focused as the party prepares for the 2024 general election. He stated that even though the party lost the 2020 parliamentary elections by a marginal 16 votes, it should remain united and come back stronger in 2024 to capture the seat from the opposition National Democratic Congress.

Speaking at the party’s Constituency Annual Delegates Conference over the weekend, he admonished them to put the painful 2020 defeat behind them and instead work hard to ensure that the seat does not elude the party in 2024.

He expressed appreciation to the party for the support he received in the previous election, and promised that he would also do all he can to ensure that the party wins the seat in the next election.

He added that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would soon outdoor the names of all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) across the country, including Sene West.

Mr Kumah pleaded with the members of the party to accept whoever is named by the President, saying that would be the beginning of ensuring that they have a united front to ‘break the eight’ years cycle.
