Some 51 tertiary students in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality have received Government Scholarships wealth GHC82,000.
The presentation was done by Simon Kweku Tetteh, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the area at a short ceremony at the Municipal Assembly Hall.
Mr. Tetteh in his brief speech stated that because of the quest of the ruling NPP government to decentralize all government programs and policies, the government scholarship scheme had been decentralized to the MMDA’S level where the Assemblies received applications and after interviewing the numerous applicants 51 tertiary students in his Municipality have been awarded with this scholarship for the Academic year. He charged the beneficiaries to make good grades and live good lives in school.
The short ceremony was witnessed by staff of the Municipal Assembly, stakeholders in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality and some executive members of the NPP in the Constituency.
