The call follows the successful conclusion of the 10th World Assemblies of God Congress, held from October 14 to 16, 2026, marking the first time the global event had been hosted on African soil.

The organisers of the 2026 World Assemblies of God Congress (WAGC 2026) have urged thousands of delegates from over 100 countries to sustain the momentum generated at the historic gathering in Accra by intensifying evangelism, discipleship and missionary activities across the world.

The call follows the successful conclusion of the 10th World Assemblies of God Congress, held from October 14 to 16, 2026, marking the first time the global event had been hosted on African soil.

In a message of appreciation to participants, the WAGC 2026 Organising Team described the congress as a historic milestone that demonstrated the unity, strength and shared commitment of the global Assemblies of God community.

The organisers expressed gratitude to delegates for their participation, attributing the success of the gathering to their commitment and enthusiasm throughout the three-day event.

Sustaining Global Mission

Held under the theme “Commissioned: One Mandate, Every Nation,” the congress brought together church leaders, pastors, missionaries and believers for discussions on church planting, discipleship, leadership development and global evangelism.

The organisers said the plenary sessions and revival rallies provided opportunities for spiritual renewal, knowledge-sharing and stronger cooperation among churches from different countries.

They expressed hope that participants would return to their respective nations spiritually refreshed, inspired and better equipped to advance the church’s missionary objectives.

The message reinforced the congress’s central objective of mobilising the global Assemblies of God community to expand evangelism and strengthen Christian ministry beyond national boundaries.

Historic African Milestone

Ghana’s hosting of the congress marked a significant development for the World Assemblies of God Fellowship, reflecting Africa’s growing importance within the global Pentecostal movement.

The gathering also provided a platform for delegates from different cultural and national backgrounds to strengthen relationships and exchange experiences on church growth and missionary work.

The congress formed part of the wider Mission 2033 agenda, which seeks to expand the global Assemblies of God movement to one million churches by 2033.

The organisers encouraged participants to carry the lessons and commitments from Accra into their respective ministries, stressing that the conclusion of the congress did not mark the end of the church’s global assignment.

They thanked delegates for contributing to the success of the event and expressed optimism about future gatherings aimed at strengthening cooperation and advancing the church’s worldwide mission.
