Assembly members in the Upper Manya Krobo District of the Eastern Region have appealed to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to reappoint Odjao Felix Nartey as the District Chief Executive for the area.

The assembly members, numbering 43, who describe themselves as “leaders of our various Electoral Areas and communities”, say they have worked closely with the DCE and can confirm that he is hardworking, humble, a team player, and highly dedicated to duty.

In a letter purportedly addressed to the Office of the President, the Assembly members said the DCE had initiated and undertaken a number of projects and programmes that had improved the wellbeing and lives of the people in the area.

Achievement

They indicated that the DCE had rehabilitated over 190kms of roads leading to the farm-gates and communities, with ‘some portions being concretized’.

“He has also constructed about 10 km town roads in Asesewa, making our communities more accessible,” they said.

They added that his contribution had also led to improvement in health, education, local economic development, social development, water and sanitation, agriculture, among others, in the area.

In another press release from the assembly members, they stated that “the good works of the Hon. DCE is seen in all areas of the district. In fact, Upper Manya Krobo has seen unprecedented development under his first four-year term.”

“Under his watch, every single sector of the district has seen massive improvement – health, road, education, water and sanitation, economic development, electricity, agriculture and climate change, social development, justice and security, governance and administration, just to mention a few.

“We can say without any shred of doubt that he has been an excellent representative of H. E. the President and given a second term would be the best for Upper Manya Krobo,” they stated.

“We wish to assure His Excellency the President of our readiness to overwhelmingly approve the nomination of Hon. Odjao Felix Nartey and further support him to make Upper Manya Krobo a better place than we came to meet it,” they added.
