Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia has lauded Chestwal Company Limited, the company constructing a bridge that links Amanase to Aboabo in the Eastern Region for the good work done. The Vice-President also lauded the company for the speed with which it got the job done.
As part of the Vice- President’s tour to Ayensuano District in the Eastern Region, he inspected the bridge which is currently under construction.
He urged Chief Executive Officer of Chestwal Company Limited, Walker Quaye, to ensure prompt completion of the bridge with the same speed that the construction began so that people living around the area could access the bridge to help them transport their foodstuffs to market centres.
He said the bridge collapsed a year ago, impeding people of Aboabo easy access to Amanase
“Through the effort of the District Chief Executive for Ayensuano, Josephine Ansaa Awuku Inkoom, as well as the Road Minister, who awarded this project to Mr Walter, as we speak, the bridge is 95 percent completed, and very soon it will be commissioned,” Dr Bawumia disclosed.
The Vice-President also visited Coaltar to inspect an ultra-modern court complex which is also about 95 per cent completed. Additionally, he inspected cocoa road projects from Asamankese to Koaboanta.
The Vice-President expressed happiness about the level of work done, assuring the people that all the projects would soon be ready for use.
