KGL Technology Limited, the parent company of Keed Ghana Limited, has received licence from the National Lottery Authority (NLA) to operate digital lottery products.
To this end, the company will be operating NLA 5/90 official short code, *959#, and other digital platforms under the brand name Keed-NLA.
The Licence was presented to KGL Technology Limited by the Board Chairman and Director-General of the NLA.
A statement from the Public Relations Unit of the NLA noted that, in the coming days, it will announce officially the date for the digital products of KGL Technology Limited to the staking public.
It further said that the company’s core objective will be to advance the digitalisation of lottery on behalf of the NLA, which is aligned to the government’s digitisation policy.
“The implementation of digital/online lottery by the National Lottery Authority, in collaboration with KGL Technology Limited as an alternative channel of play, would serve as an additional revenue stream augmenting the Authority’s revenue generation capacity and contribution to the Consolidated Fund, enhance the sales process, streamline service delivery and drive operational efficiency,” portions of the statement said.
