Reverend Father Anthony Eshun, Roman Catholic Priest in charge of Egyam Grotto, a spiritual renewal centre in the Ahanta West Municipality of the Western Region, has asked Ghanaians to support President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to retain the seat to continue with the good works he is doing.
He says the President is doing a marvellous work and therefore deserves another mandate to continue since “a person climbing a good tree needs to be pushed to climb higher”.
Regrettable mistake
He has, therefore, cautioned Ghanaians against making any regrettable mistake by voting against the governing New Patriotic Party saying the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has nothing good to offer.
The Reverend Father’s call follows the construction of a deplorable 3.5-kilometre road network from Ankyernyi junction to Grotto, a road network that has been neglected by past governments.
The call was also in appreciation for the honour done the area by President Akufo-Addo’s visit to the place as part of his two-day working tour to the Western Region.
According to Man of God, no sitting Ghanaian President has ever visited Grotto since it’s creation some twenty- five years ago.
“We are most grateful, your Excellency, and pray that the Almighty continues protecting you and give you another four years to serve Ghanaians,” he said.
Reverend Father Eshun later led the president to inspect some ongoing construction works on the road and a state – of – the – art auditorium being constructed by the church.
