The group, last week, endorsed the second term bid of President Akufo-Addo saying the President and the governing New Patriotic Party have done very well within their first term in government, proving that they deserve another four more years to protect, preserve and continue the good works they have started.
“It would be unfair, suicidal and a travesty of justice if Ghanaians fail to vote for President Akufo-Addo and NPP parliamentary candidates in the 7th December 2020 general elections,” the group said.
21 reasons
In a statement released over the weekend, the group listed some 21 reasons which they say make a good case for the President’s second term bid.
The statement signed by Razak Kojo Opoku, founder and president, said their support is hinged on the fact that a second term victory for Nana Akufo-Addo will expand and further strengthen the Free SHS Policy; complete the One District One Factory Policy; complete the One Village One Dam Policy; complete the Ghana Card Registration; complete the railway infrastructure Policy; complete the building of Kumasi International Airport and continue the Expansion of the Economy.
Other reasons include completion of the various road projects started by Akufo-Addo’s administration and his predecessors; continue the Planting for food and Jobs Policy; complete the Housing Scheme and Projects; continue providing jobs for Ghanaians especially the youth; continue providing reliable supply of electricity; prevent ‘dumsor’ from reoccurring and provide enabling environment for the private sector to flourish.
The rest are to continue to provide seed capital to the youth who desire to set up their own businesses; complete building of solid institutions and systems to fight corruption; sustain the payment of Teacher’s trainees allowance; sustain the payment of Nursing trainees allowance; sustain the peace and stability of the Country; complete the digitization of the economy and usher Ghana into full Cashlite Society.
“We are demanding another 4years with a purpose and good intentions unlike incompetent John Mahama who does not even know the reasons for his third attempt at the Presidency,” the group said.
‘bogus noise’
In a related development, the group has asked Ghanaians to “ignore the bogus noise of NDC and vote for Akufo-Addo.”
They contend that Akufo-Addo’s policies such as Free SHS, free Water, free electricity, planting for food and jobs, rearing for food and jobs, year of Roads digitalization among others have had direct impact on all Ghanaians including members of the NDC.
“Because of Akufo-Addo, NDC Members and John Mahama do not pay school fees for their children at the Senior High Schools. Because of Akufo-Addo, John Mahama and NDC Members do not pay water Bills,” the group said.
