Dedeso VRA Resettlement community in the Fanteakwa North District in the Eastern on Monday 26th August, 2019 had their first ever Police Station in the Community commissioned in a colourful ceremony.
The modern security edifice is constructed by VRA Resettlement Trust Fund secretariat as a delegation from the Trust fund was led by the Executive director, Mr. Richard Twum Barimah Koranteng to officially hand over the completed project to the Regional Police Administration.
Chief Supt. Nicholas O. Ofosuhene who represented the Eastern Regional Police Commander in his address commanded the efforts of the VRA Resettlement Trust Fund secretariat for providing this edifice since the area had been under several arm robbery attacks and with Police Station in the community now, the Regional Police Administration will post some officers to the place to improve security of the people and properties.
Mr. Richard Twum Barimah Koranteng, Executive Director of the Trust in his address assured the resettlers of the current leadership commitment to improve their standard of living in the resettlement communities but that can only be achieved when they continue to live in peace coexistence.
The Traditional leadership in the area were heavily represented as well as the resettlers to witness a joyful day in the history of their community.
In an interview with the MP for Fanteakwa North Constituency, Hon. Kwabena Amankwah Asiamah, he expressed his appreciation to the VRA Resettlement Trust Fund for providing this security installation in Dedeso which will help in fighting the insecurity issues in the township and its surrounding communities.
