Dr. Kwabena Duffour, a former Finance Minister and native of Kumawu, has arrived in Kumawu, Ashanti Region, in preparation for the upcoming by-election in the constituency. He is joining the NDC’s Presidential Candidate, national chairman, and others who are already on the ground to provide support for the campaign. Dr. Duffour will engage with members of various communities in different areas to campaign for the NDC candidate, Akwasi Amankwa.
In a statement by Antonio Edem Asinyo, Dr. Duffour’s spokesperson, it stated that “As part of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) preparations for the by-election in Kumawu on May 23rd, Dr. Kwabena Duffour will be joining the NDC today, Friday, May 19, 2023, to actively advocate for the election of our parliamentary candidate, Kwasi Amankwah.” The statement further emphasized Dr. Duffour’s commitment to securing victory for the NDC in this by-election, particularly among his fellow Kumawu natives.
Dr. Duffour urged the electorate and party members in the constituency to vote overwhelmingly for the NDC parliamentary candidate, ensuring a successful outcome in the upcoming by-election.
