Ms Lumor exchanging pleasantries with some Islamic leaders in Oforikrom
Chief Executive Officer of Glitz Africa, Publishers of Glitz Africa Magazine, Claudia Lumor, as part of her philanthropic activities, has made a donation of items to the Islamic Community in the Oforikrom constituency of the Ashanti Region.
The donation was to support the Islamic Community in the celebration of this year’s Eid-Ul-Fitr celebration held over the weekend.
The businesswoman also congratulated the Muslims for a successful month-long Ramadan fast, and called on them to pray for the success of the country.
She urged Ghanaians to let the current inter-religious peace that exists in the country permeate all facets of the nation’s life.
She noted that Ghana is an epitome of religious tolerance and that the unique way by which religious festivals are celebrated by people of different faith should be sustained.
The editor-in-chief of Glitz Africa Magazine said Ghana remains an envy of the rest of the world due to the hospitality of its citizens and the way people of different faiths co-exist peacefully.

Meanwhile, some New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth in the constituency, calling themselves ‘Patriots in the Oforikrom Constituency’, have called on Ms Lumor to consider contesting the upcoming NPP parliamentary primaries.
In a social media post, they noted that their call will “whirl the development of our Oforikrom Constituency.”
“The active actions of our determination and feats toward the designation of Claudia Abena Kwarteng Lumor will heighten the successes and history of our Constituency and wipe out the awful ones.
“Today is the time, we have to get through and we will certainly get through for our people and our Constituency with the lady whose time is up. The time is Claudia O’Clock and Oforikrom minutes,” they added.
When contacted by the media, the UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador and 2014 British Council Young Creative Entrepreneur award winner said she is ready to pay heed to the call of the youth.
She stated though the incumbent led an appreciable level of development for the constituency, she believes that bringing on a new political face for the seat will add to what the former has done and propel the constituency to a new height.
“At a certain stage, a good change is ideal to lift a constituency to the much-desired level of development.
“That is why I am offering myself up for Oforikrom. I am ready to serve the people of Oforikrom and I am so sure and ready to serve my country,” he said.
