The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Glitz Africa, Publishers of Glitz Africa Magazine, Claudia Lumor, has challenged women to empower themselves, and rise above societal pressures.
Ms Lumor said women possess the capability to make significant impact, and should not succumb to the burdens imposed by society.
She stressed the importance of women striving for their rightful place in society, and encouraged them to consistently pursue excellence and make a difference in their chosen endeavours.
Acknowledging the existence of numerous barriers that hinder women’s progress in their respective domains, Ms Lumor said women possess exceptional competencies that enable them to overcome such societal obstacles.
Ms. Lumor expressed these sentiments while commemorating this year’s Mothers’ Day at orphanages located in the Oforikrom constituency of the Ashanti Region.
During the event, she took the opportunity to distribute various items to both mothers and orphans in the area. The recipient orphanages were All Nations Charity Home in Ayigya, King Jesus Charity Home in Boadi, and Life Community Special Vocational School in Kotei Deduako.
Ms. Lumor emphasized the vital role of motherhood in society, urging women to persevere and never give up on their children throughout the journey of nurturing them.
Philanthropy
Ms. Lumor, who has expressed her intention to run in the Parliamentary Primaries of the New Patriotic Party in Oforikrom, has gained recognition for her notable philanthropic endeavors.
Demonstrating her commitment to philanthropy, she recently covered all medical expenses for newborn babies and their mothers at the Aniniwah Medical Centre, situated in the Oforikrom constituency.
Beneficiaries of Ms. Lumor’s philanthropic efforts expressed that they were not surprised by her charitable activities, given her deep dedication to the welfare of children and her involvement with UNFPA Ghana in assisting vulnerable groups across the country.
Several of the recipient women expressed sincere gratitude to Ms. Lumor for her benevolent gesture and encouraged her to continue her remarkable contributions to society.
