Mr Boadu and his entourage interact with the registration officials

The General Secretary of the NPP, John Boadu, has visited some constituencies in the Bono and Ahafo regions, as part of his nationwide monitoring of the ongoing voters’ registration exercise.

Accompanied by the Bono Regional Chairman of the party, Kwame Baffoe, aka Abronye, Mr Boadu visited registration centres in Jaman North and Banda constituencies in the Bono Region.

 

He met various election stakeholders in the Banda constituency to apprise himself of the reason behind the tension in the area, and the death of newly-trained graduate of a college of education.

He called on the security agencies to get to the bottom of the violence that has characterised the exercise in that constituency and bring the perpetrators to book.

 

From the Bono Region, Mr Boadu visited Asunafo South, Asutifi South and Tano South onstituencies, all in the Ahafo Region.

 

Satisfaction

 

Addressing the media after the tour, he expressed satisfaction at the conduct of the exercise, both in terms of compliance with the Covid-19 health protocols and the security arrangements. He called on the public to continue to observe all the protocols and abide by all the laid down rules outlined by the security forces and the electoral commission in ensuring a successful exercise.
