The New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidate for Ejisu, John Kumah, in partnership with Crown King Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, has disinfected some public places in the constituency.
The exercise meant to support the fight against the novel coronavirus began on Thursday, August 6, and is expected to end on August 16, 2020.
It is being carried out simultaneously across selected mosques, churches, schools and other public places.
Covid-19 fight
Speaking to the media, Mr Kumah, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), said the gesture was in response to the President’s call on all and sundry to support the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
He indicated that the disinfection is his current support against the fight, having already made donations, including nose masks, hand sanitizers, Veronica buckets, among others, to residents in the area.
He urged the residents, especially traders, to continuously comply with the safety protocols announced by health authorities in fighting the pandemic, adding that by doing so it will help protect them and their customers from contracting the coronavirus disease.
He urged them not to lose sight of the fact the virus is real and is still very much in the system.
