Kate Gyamfua, National Women Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), on Tuesday, June 9 2020 presented some items to the Langbinsi Health centre in the North East Region.
The donation is part of Ms Gyamfua’s support to health facilities in the Northern part of the country to contain the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The items include wheel chairs, detergents, tissue papers, nose masks, covid 19 posters, among other medical equipment.
Presenting the items on behalf of Ms Gyamfua, North East Regional women organizer of the NPP, Hajia Rashida Mahama Poanaa, expressed her appreciation to staff of the facility for their hard work, especially in this period of covid 19. She urged them to continue with the vigorous education towards prevention of the disease.
Hajia Rashida Mahama took time to inspect the facility and some uncompleted projects, promising to draw the attention of the necessary authorities to get them fixed for proper health care.
She further thanked them for their patience in dealing with their patients and wished them well in their work.
Appreciation
Management and other senior staff of the facility expressed their gratitude, through the Regional Women organizer, to Ms Gyamfua for the kind gesture. The elated management pledged to monitor the proper usage of the items donated. They further thanked the North East regional women organizer for choosing their facility among many in the region.
Hajia Rashida Mahama was accompanied by some Constituency women organizers and other party members. She used the opportunity to remind them of the new Voters registration exercise that is scheduled to begin on June 30 and the need for all of them to get involved.
