The National Women Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party, Kate Gyamfua, this week took her nationwide tour to the Eastern Region.
The nationwide tour is meant for the NPP women organizer to interact with some identified groups to sensitise them ahead of the upcoming voters’ registration exercise scheduled to begin from June 30.
Ms Gyamfua, as part of the tour, uses the opportunity to make donations to the party’s women’s wing and some selected health facilities to help them fight the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Eastern Region
In the Eastern Region, she was welcomed by the party’s Regional Chairman, Kingston Akomeng Kissi; the Regional Women Organiser, Fati vondolie and the Regional Youth Organiser, Jerry Osei Poku, among a host of other party members and supporters.
She later met the various constituency women organisers, their deputies and the various TESCON executives where she urged them to continue selling the good works of the Nana Addo Dankwa-Akufo government.
Like the national women’s wing, she charged them to lead the party’s 2020 campaign rallying around the women’s wing’s “we care” campaign message.
Donation
Ms Gyamfua after her interaction with the party people presented some items to the St Joseph’s Orthopedic Hospital in Koforidua. The donation is to help the hospital fight the novel coronavirus pandemic. The items donated include Wheel chairs, detergents, nose masks, tissue papers, packs of bottled water among other medical equipment.
She also presented some items to the women’s wing in the region.
In appreciation, the Regional Women Organizer, together with the various constituency women organizers, presented a citation in honour of Ms Gyamfua for “her good work and exemplary leadership.”
