Mr. Linford Asamoah Boadu, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Akyem Oda based Division 1 football Club(FC) Kotoku Royals FC, has been elected a member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Committee (Exco).
The Chairman of the Eastern Region’s Regional Football Association (RFA) was elected as the representative of the Regional Chairmen of the various RFAs.
Mr. Asamoah is the first RFA chairman from the Eastern Region to serve on the executive committee.
He won marginally by polling four votes to beat his other contenders including Osei Tutu Agyeman(Ashanti Region) who had one vote, Robert Duncan(Central Region), three votes; Salifu Zida(Upper East Region), three votes and Simon Ehomah(Western Region) who had two votes.
The GFA Congress which started today Thursday, 24th of October will continue to tomorrow Friday 25th October where a new GFA president is expected to be elected.
