The youth wing of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Manchester and members of the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) have pledged to campaign vigorously to maintain the NPP in power for the betterment of Ghana.
At the inaugural Manchester Youth & TESCON Conference held recently in the UK, the Chapter Youth Organizer, Mr. Jeffrey Dasebre, stressed that the party had demonstrated that it remained the preferred choice of Ghanaians. “The NPP has consistently demonstrated its commitment to progress and development,” Mr. Dasebre indicated.
He reaffirmed his commitment to empowering the youth, and propelling them into the political forefront through campaigns aimed at promoting the party’s message to the electorate.
Appreciation
He thanked the Chapter Organiser, Dr. Bernard Baah Amoako, and the Chairman, Louis Mensah, for their invaluable support, leadership and guidance.
He indicated that the conference was used as a yardstick to inspire a new generation of young leaders.
The youth organizer assured to continually promote the values of the NPP, and support young Ghanaians in education, employment and housing to build Ghana.
He urged young people to embrace their power, and make a difference. “As Kwame Nkrumah once said, ‘We face neither East nor West; we face forward,’ the youth of Manchester must stand united and be ready to champion social justice, innovation, and prosperity for Ghana.”
