The Leadership of the Microfinance and Small Loans Center (MASLOC) has commended the overlord of the Akyem Abuakwa traditional area, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, for his outstanding leadership qualities and humanitarian assistance to the country.
The Board Chairman of MASLOC, Seth Agyei Baah, said the relevance of the good counsel of traditional leaders in the country cannot be over emphasized saying it is always a blessing for the young ones to learn from the good morals of our traditional rulers. He described the Okyenhene as an outstanding traditional leader who exhibits true leadership qualities and integrates same with essential human development.
Mr. Baah was speaking at the Ofori Paninfie at Kyebi when the leadership of MASLOC paid a courtesy call on the Okyenhene as part of activities marking his 20 years as the king of the Akyem Abuakwa State. He pleaded with the Okyenhene to continue to guide the political leadership of the country with his good counsel.
The Okyenhene expressed his gratitude to MASLOC for the visit. He urged the political leadership of the country to serve diligently and not take for granted the confidence reposed in them by the people of Ghana.
NO JUSTIFICATION FOR FAILURE
He indicated that the government has no justification to fail the people of Ghana. He has, therefore, urged them to do their best in giving to the people the needed necessities of the country. He reemphasized his long-held believe that infrastructural projects and quality education are what the country needs to develop patting the government at the back for doing well in the education sector and urging them to up their game on infrastructural development.
“The world is moving with knowledge and infrastructure. A country without the needed educational programs for its people and good infrastructure will be left behind. Ghana Beyond Aid cannot be achieved if we do not take a critical look at these areas,” he said.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MASLOC, Stephen Amoah commended the Okyenhene for his passion for the protection of the environment.
Mr. Amoah pleaded with the Okyenhene to widen his campaign and initiatives of protecting the environment beyond the Akyem Abuakwa state stressing on the importance of water and trees to the existence of human beings.
