Mimi Duah
A Deputy National Women’s Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mimi Duah, says the bold vision espoused by Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is what will propel Ghana to the promised land.
According to her, the NPP flagbearer has proven to have clear ideas needed for a country like Ghana, which has been battered by global exigencies and a post-COVID economy.
Speaking to the Daily Statesman on the sidelines of the ‘Bawumia Speaks’ event organized by the party at the University of Professional Studies on Wednesday, Ms. Duah emphasized the far-reaching ideas outlined by the Vice-President that will ease the cost of doing business in the country, improve the economy, strengthen education, improve agriculture, and advance every sector of the economy.
Clear Vision
Ending his speech at his ‘Next Chapter’ event, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia called on Ghanaians to elect him as the next president, stating that he is clear in his mind about what he has in store for the nation.
He indicated that he is eager to serve Ghanaians and that he doesn’t need any honeymoon when elected president.
“I am eager to serve. I am ready to work. I am determined to make a positive difference. I will work for you and with you; with honesty and integrity; with wisdom and decisiveness. I have clarity in my mind as to what I want to do from day one if you make me President. I will not ask for a honeymoon to cool off and think about what to do with the responsibility you would give me,” he indicated.
“I am prepared and ready to work if you give me the opportunity. You know what I stand for. You know my vision. My vision is all about fulfilling your mission. I believe in the ingenuity of the Ghanaian. Together, we can succeed in building a progressive society of possibilities, enterprise, compassion, open opportunities, and shared prosperity for every Ghanaian, whether born rich or poor, born in the north or the south, born Christian or Muslim, born girl or boy,” he added.
Trustworthy
Ms. Duah indicated that Dr. Bawumia is a trustworthy politician who can be relied upon to come up with innovative and impactful ideas to transform Ghana. Reiterating what the Vice-President stated, Ms. Duah said Ghanaians can trust the NPP flagbearer to work hard, tirelessly, and selflessly for Ghana.
She indicated that Dr. Bawumia has a proven record, and can be trusted to create jobs for the youth, take care of the poor, disabled and vulnerable, and prepare Ghana for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
She added that Dr. Bawumia is more committed to protecting and using Ghana’s natural resources for the benefit of the country, and can be trusted to protect and improve the Free SHS policy.
