Social Media has been buzzing from the late hours of Sunday evening to the early hours of Monday morning about a photo of a supposed meeting held between the leadership of the opposition NDC and their flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, in a thick forest.
The location of the meeting is immediately not known but the picture which the Evening Mail has a copy has the National chairman of the party, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the two Deputy General Secretaries of the party Barbarah Asamoah and host of other executives of the party seated around a white covered table.
The seating arrangement and the rapt attention paid by the executives with exercise books on the tables tell of a very serious discussion ongoing.
In the picture, a heavily built machoman is seen standing at a far end and carefully looking elsewhere as though he has been asked to look for signals of approaching human beings and alert the members in the meeting to take cover.
It is currently unknown why the NDC will choose such a thick forest as a venue for a meeting but it is believed that maybe the party is staying away from having meetings in enclosed doors for fear of being recorded.
Tapes from meetings of the NDC has been leaking of late with some damning plans of the party coming into the public domain.
The national chairman of the party, the Communication director of the party and his deputy are currently standing trial for comments made by the national chairman in a meeting of the party which was recorded and leaked.
The NDC has accused the government for bugging its offices and listening to their meetings.
To many, maybe the antidote to the secret recording and leaking of the party’s plans and meetings is to have the meetings in deep thick forests.
