Mr. Alexander Tenkorang, Chief Executive Officer of Oheneba Kasempa Enterprise, producers of Original Abensuo Gin bitters, has donated an ultramodern fully furnished Clinic to the people of Obo-Kwahu in the Eastern Region.

The gesture is to help upgrade the clinic to a level befitting of a Polyclinic status.

The Obo Clinic Committee was inaugurated last year to find means of upgrading the Obo clinic to a polyclinic status.

According to Mr. Tenkorang, when the news got to him, he decided to sole handedly embark on the gesture as a means of giving back to his people and also thanking God for his blessings.

Mr. Tenkorang said he was even more motivated to expand the clinic when he realised the existing clinic has only one ward which takes care of both men and women. “I was touched. Imagine my wife comes here to give birth, and right beside her is a full grown man. This even gingered me to do this for the community.” He said.

Abensuo also added a brand new ambulance to the newly built clinic.

The new clinic has a female wards, children’s ward, delivery room, changing room, consulting room, special ward for VIPs among others.

Chief of Obo-Kwahu, Nana Afari Yeboah Buagyan II thanked Mr. Tenkorang for the kind gesture. He expressed surprised that a building of such nature could be put up within just a year. He also pleaded with other philanthropists to come and help the clinic get nurses quarters for their staff.

Eastern Regional Minister, Mr. Eric Kwakye Darfuor who commissioned the clinic pleaded with the staff of the clinic to ensure the longevity of the clinic.

Mr. Tenkorang again donated a ghc5000 cash to the Obo Clinic Committee to use in renovating the existing clinic which is in a dilapidated state.
