Asamoah-Siaw, Akufo-Addo

The National Policy Advisor for the Progressive People’s Party, Kofi Asamoah Siaw, has stated that whoever filmed the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo celebrating the victory of Tottenham Hotspur from his private office and shared on social media must be found out and fired.

According to the former Akyem Oda Member of Parliament Hopeful, the putting out of the video is the highest form of indiscretion and an abuse of privileges by the perpetrator.

He stated that “the president has every right to watch footfall, movies or engage in any form of entertainment both privately and publicly when it is appropriate.” Adding that ” it did not give anyone the chance to film him and put the video on social media.”

Jokes

In a facebook post, Asamoah-Siaw said ” If His Excellency chose to support ‘his team’ by watching the Tottenham vrs Ajax match in his office, even with presidential staffers or friends, it did not give anyone the chance to film him and put the video on social media. We joke with so many things in Ghana and such jokers should not be allowed to get so close to our presidents; otherwise we are in big trouble.”

Express Endorsement

Asamoah-Siaw said “the only way whoever filmed the president would be pardoned is that it was done with the express endorsement or permission of the president; and that also in itself will constitute indiscretion on the part of the president, looking at the content of the video.” “We must get serious in Ghana!”

Akufo-Addo and Tottenham Hotspur

Ghana’s President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, loves football and he is a staunch supporter of Tottenham Hotspur.

In a 2016 interview with Accra-based Starr FM,  Akufo-Addo said he was a die-hard supporter of Asante Kotoko and had been following them for long. “I’m a strong Kotoko man,” he revealed.

Outside Ghana, Akufo-Addo said he supports Spanish giants Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur of England are his favourite sides.

Joy

The president, like millions of others who were either at the Johan Cruyff Arena or watched on TV, could not hide his joy and excitement after the epic comeback by the English club against Ajax Wednesday night in their Champions League Semi-Final second league game.

Tottenham’s Lucas Moura scored a stoppage-time winner to complete an impressive hat-trick which helped his team edge past Ajax on away goals rule.

The stoppage-time goal sealed a sensational 3-2 comeback win for Tottenham Hotspur, who were trailing Ajax by 2 goals – and 3 goals on aggregate. They were virtually kissing their Champions League final dream goodbye.

President Akufo-Addo, who watched the match with some of his presidential staffers in his office at the Jubilee House, could not hide his excitement after the match. In a video in the possession of http://eveningmailgh.com and has gone viral on social media, the president is seen joyfully enjoying the epic victory of his ‘darling club’.
