Education Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku-Prempeh has challenged the former President John Dramani Mahama to tell Ghanaians a single achievement he chalked in the education sector during his tenure as president.

According to the minister, though there was hardship during the tenure of the former President even without free Senior High School (SHS), he still went ahead to cancel teacher training allowances.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosi Sen, Wednesday, Dr Opoku-Prempeh, chastising the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration said the NDC has no right to criticise the Akufo-Addo government as far as education is concerned because they did not have Ghanaian teachers at heart.

“There are more teachers in teaching colleges under the New Patriotic Party than what NDC left and so they have no right to criticise us. NDC and Mahama should tell us what they did to improve the lives of teachers in this country,” he dared.
