Three people have been arrested for robbing students of Akim Swedru Senior High School in the Eastern Region.

 

The three, Richard Obuobi, a.k.a Ayingo 18 years, Kwabena Micheal, a.k.a KB, 21 years and Frank Ofori, a.k.a Yaw Frank, 19, robbed two form two day students of the school in their home.


Reports available to the http://eveningmailgh.com suggest that the robbers broke into the room of Christian Baiden, 17 years and Paul Dekyi, 17 years all of AKISS form 2, on Wednesday 12th June 2019 night around 11:30pm when the students were asleep.

 

The robbers bolted away with four mobile phones, 20 Ghana cedis, canvass and a school bag. In the process of the robbery one of the students was hurt by knife on his left hand whiles the other was hurt with ply on his chest.

Confirming the incidence to the http://eveningmailgh.com The District Police Commander of Akim Swedru Police command, ASP Sabastian Maya said, Richard Obuobi was arrested on Thursday 13th June at Akim Swedru while the other 2 were arrested in their hide out at Abenase in the Akyemansa District on Friday 14th June.

 

When the robbers were arrested some marks suspected to be for spiritual protection were seen on the bodies of the suspects.

 

Again, a charm was found with Kwabena Micheal, the leader of the gang at his hideout at Abenase.

According to DSP Maya, the suspects are currently in police custody assisting in investigation. He added that the suspects shall be processed for court on Monday 17th June 2019.

 

 

The students have since been given medical forms and are receiving treatment at the Akyem Oda Government Hospital.
