Volta River Authority Resettlement Trust Fund secretariat on Monday 29th July, 2019 officially handed over two newly completed projects to the Asuogyaman District Chief executive, Hon. Samuel Kwame Agyekum in two separate short ceremonies.

A High powered delegation from the VRA Trust Fund secretariat was led by the Board Chairman, His Lordship Rtd. Emmanuel Nana Antwi Barimah as the executive director, Mr. Richard Twum Barimah Koranteng and another board member from the VRA, Mr. Winfred Amanu joined hin to hand over the projects.

The New Senchi VRA Resettlement community received a modern School Canteen whilst Mpakadam VRA Resettlement community also received a 6-Unit self-contained teachers bungalow both in the Asuogyaman District fully funded by the VRA Trust Fund.

Nana Antwi Barimah, Board Chairman of the VRA Trust Fund in his respective addresses stated that the Asuogyaman District is fortunate to have more development projects from the trust fund as he noted that all the same, the district has more resettlement communities.

The board Chairman continued to assured both gathering that the trust fund secretariat under the able leadership of the Executive director, Mr. Richard Twum Barimah Koranteng had made available all resource needed to complete the Apeguso 3-UNIT Classroom block with ancillary facilities for the JHS which is currently at an advance stage by the beginning of the next academic year.

He concluded by tasking the resettlers to own the expensively funded project as he advised the beneficiary institution which is the Ghana Education Service to take good care of the projects to benefit the next generations.

The VRA Trust Fund secretariat today officially signed the maiden project maintenance agreement with the Asuogyaman District Assembly, and the resettlement communities who benefitted the new projects regarding the aftermath maintenance protocols of the projects which spells out the maintenance standing orders clearly.

Hon. Samuel Kwame Agyekum, DCE for Asuogyaman in his address expressed his heart felt appreciation to the Current leadership of the trust fund for responding to the infrastructure needs of the resettlement communities in his district which has been their headache over the years.

In an interview with the executive director of the VRA Resettlement Trust Fund, Mr. Richard Twum Barimah Koranteng, he said seeing the good people living in the resettlement communities happy is his committed quest and he will keep working seriously with the board of directors to achieve that dream.
