About 10 new schools have benefited from 1000 school desks distributed to schools in the Effutu Municipality by the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin. The distribution is in line with the MP’s commitment to ensuring that the educational needs of his constituents are addressed.
The beneficiary schools include Anglican Primary A and B, Anglican J.HS, NVTI, New Winneba M.A School and Unipra North School.
Other schools are Methodist Primary and Junior High Schools as well as Zion Primary and Junior High Schools
Commitment
Presenting the desks on behalf of the MP, Captain Acquah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s Vice Chairman of the party’s Council of Elders in the Effutu Constituency reiterated the commitment of the MP to helping children in the Municipality to be formally educated. This according to Captain Acquah is because the MP sees education as a key avenue through which the constituents can reach the heights of their potentials and to also take up the mantle of leadership to continue with the development of the Municipality in future.
Other Donations
The recent presentation follows similar presentations made by the MP to improve education in the area. So far 728 laptops have been distributed to all categories of teachers in the Effutu Municipality. He has also given scholarships to teachers and students to further their education.
Already, over 4000 desks have also been given to some educational institutions in the Municipality.
