Dorm Matse in the Manya Krobo Traditional area, Nene Bediako Baah Muala, has called for the suspension of the 2019 Nymayem festival celebrations.
According to the chief, there is nothing good in the area that is worth to be celebrated this particular calendar year.
He said there is the need for the traditional leadership in the Manya Krobo Traditional area to first find ways and means to foster unity and peace to enable the Manya Krobo area to be stronger for better development.
Speaking in an interview with Somanya based Rite 90.1fm on Thursday 4th July, 2019 he stated that the the traditional area is not that peaceful for a celebration of a festival with such tribal importance.
