In preparation towards the 2020 elections, the leadership of the New Patriotic Party in Eastern Region led by the Regional Chairman, Hon. Kiston Akomeng Kissi have undergone a two-day residential retreat at Somanya in the Eastern.
The retreat organized and sponsored by Hon. Boakye Agyarko was geared towards consolidating the gains made in the 2016 elections and enhancing the fortunes of the party in the region.
The morning session which was facilitated by Hon. Boakye Agyarko treated topics such as Focusing on the general party activities.
To demonstrate the seriousness of the program and the relevance of Eastern Region in the 2020 elections, the General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party Mr. John Boadu joined and facilitated the afternoon session. He spoke about the critical role of the Regional Executives in the 2020 elections and also touched on the programs and projects the party is working on to ensure victory for the party.
Other Topics such as Electoral Matters and Political Party Communications were facilitated by Hon Boakye Agyarko.
In his closing remarks, the Regional Chairman thanked Hon. Boakye Agyarko, General Secretary and the entire Regional Executives for dedicating their resources for the training program. He particularly entreated his executives to utilize the knowledge gained so Eastern Region will consolidate its political gains in the 2020 elections.
