The Ghana Football Association have rejected claims that they are responsible for the positive cases being recorded by the members of the Black Stars a week after their international break.
Six Black Stars players have tested positive for Covid – 19 since the friendly matches against Mali and Qatar with the latest being Caleb Ekuban and Jordan Ayew.
The others include Gideon Mensah, Bernard Mensah, Joseph Aidoo and Kasim Adams.
“I doubt if any responsible institution at this time around the globe will go ahead with a sporting event without respecting Covid – 19 protocols.
“As a Football Association when we signed the contracts with the organizers of those friendly matches we agreed to respect the protocols and go strictly according to the procedures that were put in place for us.
“The Turkish health authorities gave us guidelines to follow and we did so judiciously.
“The players who came to camp, all of them were subjected to strict Covid – 19 protocol.” he told Citi sports.
Reports also indicate that a Black Stars management member, Jones Abu Alhassan is in self-isolation in Turkey after he also tested positive.
