Members of a group of NPP youth, mostly comprising past and present student leaders, known as Youth for Action (YFA), have endorsed their colleague, a one-time National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) presidential hopeful, Richmond Kodua, for the position of the District Chief Executive for Upper Denkyira West.
A statement issued by the group and signed by one of its members, Osei Owusu Afriyie, said it “recognizes Richmond Kodua as an incredible pioneer and a person equipped for protection of freedom and with the strategic plan to develop Upper Denkyira West.”
The group also noted that Mr Kodua, who is a lecturer at the Wisconsin International University, has become the “head instrument for mobilising groups and support for the youth and the party as a whole before, during and after elections.”
“His achievements have secured wider support among segments of the voting population,” the statement added.
Endorsement
The group has, therefore, pleaded with the vetting committee and the President to consider Mr Kodua for the position.
“We, YFA – NPP in Upper Denkyira West have, as a result, endorsed Richmond Kodua because we believe he would be the best leader for the District Assembly. We strongly believe his good deeds, great leadership skills, love, respect, humility, affability, among his other exceptional traits, would serve as the handkerchief to wipe away sorrows, agony, pain and bitterness, and as well, serve as a mentor to groom a better youth for the party and nation,” the group added.
