Deputy National Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hajia Safia Mohammed, has welcomed delegates travelling from across the country to Kumasi for the party’s 2026 National Delegates Conference and national executive elections.
In a message ahead of the conference at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Hajia Safia described the participation of delegates as a demonstration of their commitment and loyalty to the NPP.
The conference, scheduled for Saturday, October 3, will elect the party’s national officers, including its National Chairman, General Secretary, National Organiser and National Women’s Organiser. Hajia Safia is contesting the Women’s Organiser position and secured the number one position on the ballot.
‘Deepen Our Unity’
Hajia Safia said the gathering should provide an opportunity for the party to strengthen internal unity and renew its purpose as it reorganises towards the 2028 general election.
“We converge under the inspiring theme, ‘One Party, One Purpose: United for Victory.’ Let us use this gathering to deepen our unity, renew our purpose, and position our party for resounding victory in 2028,” she said.
She wished delegates safe journeys to Kumasi and called for fruitful deliberations throughout the conference.
“Together, we are stronger. Akwaaba!” she added.
The unity message reflects a theme Hajia Safia has emphasised during the party’s reorganisation. Earlier this year, she called on NPP members to work collectively to rebuild and strengthen the party following its defeat in the 2024 general election.
Hajia Safia is seeking elevation from Deputy National Women’s Organiser to National Women’s Organiser at Saturday’s election. Her candidature will be decided by delegates alongside the other national executive contests.
