The presidency has responded to the front Page story of the June edition of the Africa Watch Magazine describing the allegations as “baseless, libellous, and scurrilous.”
In the story under the headline “The inside story of the Oslo scandal: Conspiracy to steal” the contents of the publication impugned criminal conduct on the part of the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, in Government’s attempts to purchase properties for its newly opened embassy in Oslo, the capital of Norway.
Okudzeto Ablakwa’s twist
Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa who led the minority’s allegation in the Oslo deal took to Facebook following the Africa Watch publication to claim vindication.
“As it turns out, the latest edition of the Africawatch magazine presents yet another vindication of our position on the Oslo chancery scandal.” He posted.
Commendation
Mr. Ablakwa commended the Africa Watch magazine for “exemplary courage and determination in pursuit of he truth.”

Presidency Response
But in a response signed by Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the presidency, he stated that the publication “contain nothing but manufactured lies”.
“We are aware of this magazine’s notoriously established agenda of defaming the President through the deliberate publication of such false stories about him. The agenda will fail, as it has failed before.” The statement added.
The presidency has therefore vowed to deal with the publishers of the magazine for publication.
