Disaster looms as pupils of Kwaku Kwaa MA Primary School in the Asene Manso Akroso District of the Eastern Region have to deal with the threat of studying in a dilapidated structure serving as a classroom.
The deep cracks in the walls of the structure pose a great danger to the staffs and pupils of the school.
The structure which appears to have been built with mud has visible cracks with some parts of the walls almost falling off.
Yet pupils sit under the structure to be tutored.
Some of the pupils in an interview with the Evening Mail’s Kwaku Frimpong said the nature of the structure is affecting their studies since they always live under the fear of the building collapsing.
They are therefore appealing to the government to come to their aid.
But, when the Evening Mail contacted the Member of Parliament for the area Mr. George Kwame Aboagye, he stated that the dilapidated nature of the school has come to their attention.
He however added that new structure for the school has being captured in the Assembly’s budget and contract will soon be awarded.
