Many Assembly Members are angry and up in arms against the Ejisu MCE, Mr. Samuel Frimpong for forging their signatures in his bid to gather support for his petition to the President not to dismiss him for the various troubles in Ejisu.

Following calls for his dismissal by over 2,000 polling station executives of the New Patriotic Party, after they staged a demonstration and submitted a complaint to the President, the Ejisu MCE also had to send his response to the President on why he should not be dismissed.

It has now come to light that the signatures of the Assembly Members used in the petition were forged and without the consent of some of the Assembly Members.

The Assembly Members have come out to distance themselves from the petition by the MCE and also to insist their names be struck out of the list.

According to Mr. Asamoah Baidoo, Assemby Member for Bonwie, he was at a funeral when a meeting was conveyed to generate signatures for the petition and doesn’t understand how his name ended up on the list and a signature generated on his behalf.

“It is not everything that they say is true, I am currently at a funeral so how can they write my name, I didn’t write it and so why is my signature part while I was not present “ the Assembly Member said.

Other Assembly Members Mr. Isaac Aboagye, Mr Nana Prempeh Bushiaman and Mrs. Stella Oduro, have come out to complain and are livid about their names being included in a petition without their consent as well as forging their signatures.

The Ejisu MCE has in recent weeks been under a lot of pressure from members of the Ejisu constituency who are calling for his removal for his involvement in various activities that threaten to destabilize the constituency, since he openly declared his intention to bring his brother the MD of ECG, Mr.Agyeman Budu to contest in the next NPP primaries.

A formal complaint and petition has been submitted to the Presidency calling for his removal.
