Former Member of the Council of State and Oyokohene, Nana Agyei Kodua Kesse II has on Sunday August 25, called for an urgent and proper review of the (1992) Republican Constitution of Ghana.
Nana Kodua Kesse attributed corruption in the public institutions to the legal lapses in the 1992 constitution.
Nana Agyei Kodua Kesse II who is also the Adontenhene of New Juaben Traditional area alleged that both appointment committee in parliament and assembly members do take money from presidential nominees before they confirm the nominees to their designated offices saying this is a clear case of corruption.
Nana Agyei Kodua Kesse II made the statement during an interview with Isaac Nsiah Foster Ashanti regional correspondent for Ahotor News at Kumawu Dadiase before the installation of Nana Agyei Afari, a 50 year old electrician as Dadiasi-Agonahene.
Nana Agyei Kodua Kesse II, the former Council of State Member who has been ruling Oyoko community for 40 years as traditional head also advised his colleague traditional rulers to be cautious of their judgment, saying traditional rulers must emulate Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on how he give judgment on certain matters to ensure peace and safety of their people.
He said traditional rulers should eschew all forms of corruption in their dealings.
