Four communities in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region have been given boreholes to supply the communities with portable drinking water.
The communities are Dwenase, Nsutam, Bosuso, Ehiamenkyene and Nkankama.
The provision of the borehole by Dr Daniel Amaning Danquah, NPP Aspiring Parliamentary Candidate for the area, was necessitated by the perennial water problems that confront the people in those communities.
Dr. Danquah said he opted to provide the water for them since many communities in the area do not have access to good drinking water.
As part of his commitment to providing clean water for the people, he has also promised to fix all broken and faulty boreholes in the district.
Some members of the communities where the new borehole drillings are ongoing showered praises on the NPP PC hopeful for the gesture.
They wished him well in his primaries which was originally scheduled to take place on April 25 but has been suspended due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
